Rosatom aims to start building at least four reactor units in 2027
Rosatom aims to begin construction of at least four new reactor units in 2027, Director General Alexei Likhachev said, according to Interfax.
Four of the 28 units Rosatom is building abroad are due to enter operation next year, Likhachev said. The corporation intends to replace them in its construction portfolio with new projects.
Rosatom is preparing proposals for talks with China covering established areas of cooperation, including the nuclear fuel cycle, as well as innovative projects. Likhachev said he hoped for decisions on further series construction of Russian-designed reactor units in China.
Tianwan Unit VII has already been connected to the grid, he said. He plans commercial operation of Xudapu Unit IV for next year.
