Rotenberg outlines preparations for CAS hearing on Russia's hockey ban

Russian Ice Hockey Federation vice-president Roman Rotenberg said the Russian side was preparing for a Court of Arbitration for Sport hearing on returning national teams to international competition. He said the federation was awaiting the October 23 session.
Rotenberg said foreign lawyers and the sports minister were working on the teams' return. He described an Olympic victory as his ambition beyond reinstatement and the best possible gift for Russian hockey's 80th anniversary.
Referring to Olympic success, Rotenberg spoke of nine stars and wanting a tenth. Russia's national teams have been excluded from International Ice Hockey Federation tournaments since 2022.
