Russia and Uzbekistan begin Hamkorlik-2026 exercise
A joint Russian-Uzbek tactical exercise, Hamkorlik-2026, has opened at the Termez training ground in Uzbekistan's Surkhandarya region, Russia's Central Military District press service said.
The programme calls for troops to practise commanding units against simulated illegal armed groups in border areas. The scenario includes retaking facilities and a settlement occupied by those groups.
The active phase of the exercise is scheduled to run from October 20 to 27.
