Russian education watchdog says oral history exam follows state textbooks

Tasks for the oral history examination for ninth-grade pupils are based exclusively on state textbooks, Russia’s education watchdog told RIA Novosti.

The new format is being piloted in October and November in several Russian regions. Its introduction is planned for 2028.

The watchdog also said the tasks being used in the pilot are publicly available for review.
