About 66,000 Russian pupils to take part in school education study
About 66,000 pupils from 507 Russian schools will participate in a study of educational work on October 12–14, Rosobrnadzor told RIA Novosti.
The assessment involves eighth-, ninth- and tenth-grade pupils. It will examine how far students’ values have developed and the practices schools use to organise educational work.
According to the education watchdog, the findings will identify current problems to be addressed through federal, regional, municipal and school programmes. Recommendations will also be prepared for participants in the education process.
A separate assessment of educational work will take place in schools across 29 regions on October 15–16. All ninth-grade pupils in those regions will participate, TASS reported, citing Rosobrnadzor. Schools in the remaining regions will undergo that assessment over the following two years.
