Russian prosecutors seek state recovery of former Rostov official Logvinenko's assets

Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has filed a claim seeking state recovery of assets belonging to former Rostov-on-Don administration head Alexei Logvinenko and people close to him. RBC's sources valued the assets at more than 1.5 billion rubles.

According to the prosecution's case as described by RBC, Logvinenko and his partner had combined official income of 105 million rubles in 2007–2025, while the property acquired was worth substantially more. Prosecutors allege that he registered assets in relatives' and acquaintances' names to conceal them from disclosure.

RBC identified other defendants as his father, Valentin Logvinenko, his partner, Yekaterina Skorokhod, her mother, Natalia Skorokhod, Andrei Nor-Arevyan, Roman and Viktoria Polulyashny, and Vasily Karpov. Prosecutors are seeking joint liability.

The largest asset RBC's sources linked to Logvinenko was a holding of 12 499 units, or 49.9 percent, in the A1 Capital fund, valued at no less than 1.1 billion rubles. Another 150 million rubles was reportedly invested in life insurance. The claim also covers property, premium cars and cash in rubles and foreign currencies.

The sources said searches of his father's home uncovered 14 luxury watches worth almost 11.6 million rubles, six firearms and 18 imperial gold coins valued at about 2.2 million rubles.

Logvinenko was detained in October 2025 on charges of exceeding his authority. Investigators allege that a commercial loan arranged in 2020 caused 47 million rubles in losses to the city budget. He denies wrongdoing. He subsequently faced bribery-related charges.

Prosecutors also asked the court to freeze other property, accounts, bank deposit boxes and securities belonging to the former official and his family, and to prohibit registration transactions.
