Golikova says draft budget funds Russia's social commitments

Funding for social benefits, payments and their indexation is fully provided for in Russia's draft 2027 budget, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on October 9. She also said previously adopted state social commitments had been accounted for.
Golikova spoke at a press conference launching the nationwide Unlimited Opportunities award competition. Her statement concerns the draft federal budget for 2027 and the planning period of 2028–2029. It describes planned funding rather than money already transferred to recipients.
The Labour Ministry had earlier said approximately 4.8 trillion roubles was allocated to social payments and support measures in the Social Fund's draft 2027 budget. It listed the unified child benefit, maternity capital and family tax payment among those measures. These figures concern the fund's budget rather than all federal budget expenditure.
