Sunny Deol’s Suryaa gets November 20 cinema release

The makers of Sunny Deol’s crime thriller Suryaa announced a November 20 theatrical release and unveiled its first-look poster on October 12.

M. Padmakumar directs the film, which also features Ravi Kishan and Pragya Jaiswal in key roles. The poster shows Deol smoking with his head lowered.

According to the production’s synopsis, the story follows a man whose investigation into unanswered questions leads him toward buried truths. The announcement presents the premise without disclosing the outcome of the investigation.

Producer Kamal Mukut said he had signed Deol for both Gadar 2 and Suryaa, with work on the latter beginning after Gadar 2’s success. Mukut said the new film depicts three stages of the central character’s life across two eras.

Padmakumar’s earlier Malayalam films include Joseph, released in 2018, and Kanal, released in 2015. His recent directing credits also include Uyir in 2026. The November date is the release schedule announced by the makers.
