Two men arrested in Denmark over photographs of defence company
Two men aged 18 and 21 have been arrested in Denmark on suspicion of espionage involving photographs of MyDefence. Both deny wrongdoing, Danish broadcaster DR reported.
A preliminary hearing took place behind closed doors at the Court of Aalborg. North Jutland Police confirmed that the arrests had been made the previous day. Officers are investigating the case together with the Danish Security and Intelligence Service.
According to the allegations reported by DR, the men photographed the company, which supplies counter-drone systems to Ukraine among other customers, and sent the images to a Telegram user. Investigators allege that the photographs were intended for the Russian side.
An interpreter who speaks Russian and Ukrainian attended the hearing, the broadcaster reported. The published information did not establish the men's nationality.
DR reported that the charge carries a possible prison sentence of up to six years. The broadcaster said the investigation also concerned possible accomplices who remain at large.
