Ukraine sanctions 108 people, 48 companies and two vessels

Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions on 108 individuals and 48 legal entities, with two vessels also listed, Kommersant reported, citing documents published by Ukraine’s president.

A decree dated October 11 brings a decision by Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council into effect. The decree takes effect upon publication. Most of those listed are Russian citizens or residents.

The companies include financial, technology and consulting businesses, according to the source report. Ukraine’s government, Security Service and other relevant authorities are tasked with implementing the measures and monitoring their effectiveness.

The Foreign Ministry must notify the European Union, United States and other governments and seek comparable restrictions. That instruction does not establish that those governments have already adopted matching sanctions.
