US orders DeepSeek removed from federal civilian agency systems
The US Department of Homeland Security has ordered DeepSeek products removed from federal civilian agencies’ information technology systems and excluded them from government procurement. A notice of the order became available on Monday.
The measure covers products and services developed by China’s Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence and its affiliated entities.
The notice also explicitly includes products and services from other developers that use DeepSeek implementations. These must also be removed from civilian agencies’ information technology systems.
