USC receiver Terrell Anderson to have season-ending surgery, CBS reports

USC wide receiver Terrell Anderson is set to undergo surgery that will end his season, CBS Sports reported on October 9, citing reporter Matt Zenitz.
Anderson has played in three games for the Trojans, making two catches for 50 yards. Both receptions came in the loss to Oregon. He missed the opener against Fresno State and has had a limited role while dealing with injury.
The receiver joined USC after two seasons at NC State. In 2025, he recorded 39 receptions for 629 yards and five touchdowns. Recruiting service 247Sports ranked him as the tenth-best player in the transfer portal, raising expectations for his partnership with quarterback Jayden Maiava.
USC has other injury concerns ahead of its October 10 road game against Penn State. CBS Sports reported that freshman receiver Trent Mosley, who had 255 receiving yards and four touchdowns in three games, and tight end Mark Bowman were questionable. Bowman has 21 catches for 204 yards and two touchdowns in four appearances. Their availability remains separate from Anderson’s reported season-ending absence.
