Vladislav Shapsha reports 19 drones destroyed over Kaluga region

Air defences destroyed 19 drones over Russia’s Kaluga region on the evening of October 9 and overnight into October 10, governor Vladislav Shapsha said. He reported no casualties or infrastructure damage on preliminary information.
In a statement on MAX, Shapsha identified six municipal districts where air defences had operated: Borovsky, Kirovsky, Meshchovsky, Mosalsky, Khvastovichsky and Yukhnovsky. Drones were also destroyed on the outskirts of Kaluga and Obninsk. The total he announced therefore covered several parts of the region across Friday evening and the following night.
Operational teams were working at the sites. Shapsha described the information about casualties and infrastructure damage as preliminary. His morning statement reflected the findings available at the time of publication, rather than a final assessment of every location where debris had fallen.
