Two Congress women slapped each other during an INDIA bloc protest in Faridabad on Thursday. Demonstrators were protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and alleging “vote theft.”
Video shared on social media shows Parag Sharma and Gajna Lamba exchanging slaps. Sharma had contested the assembly election from Ballabgarh. Congress district president Baljit Kaushik and other marchers intervened and separated the women.
The march went from Chandi Wali Dharamshala to Pathwari Mandir in the Old Faridabad area. It was led by Haryana Mahila Congress president Pearl Chaudhary and Kaushik.
Kaushik said accidental contact can happen in a crowd and expressed confidence that the dispute would be settled. Media reports said one Congress leader had filed a complaint against the other at the Old Faridabad police station, but police had not confirmed receiving it.
