Delhi protesters taken to Chhatrasal Stadium during October 10 crackdown

Hundreds of Cockroach Janta Party volunteers and other detained people were brought to Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi’s Model Town on October 10, according to people at the venue interviewed by The Hindu.

Buses carrying people from different parts of the city entered the stadium grounds directly. Those inside said formal administrative procedures had not begun several hours after their arrival, leaving many waiting on the field.

Witnesses described security personnel primarily escorting people and guarding the venue. They also reported force being used to restrict movement and prevent groups from mobilising. The report contained no accounts of physical beatings.

One detained participant, Vijay Mallangi, said the restrictions would not end their determination to protest. Slogans continued intermittently inside the stadium. These descriptions reflect accounts from those present rather than an official police statement. The original report did not specify release times or a final total of people brought to the ground.
