Yandex restores most Alice smart-home functions
Lighting controls, AI cameras and heating thermostats are available again. Cloud routines and some app data remain affected.
In an October 13 service update, Yandex listed returning functions including switching smart lights on when users arrive home, recognising activity in an AI camera's view and maintaining radiator temperatures with a thermostat. Work to restore the remaining functions continues.
Station device statuses in the Home with Alice app are updating more slowly than usual. Cloud routines triggered by sensors or schedules may run late or fail to start. Event histories, charts of sensor readings and records of sensor activations are temporarily unavailable.
The company also promised separate updates on chat, Station speakers and YaOS smart televisions. It gave no specific deadline for full restoration. Yandex had warned of disruptions on October 9 following damage to data centres in the Ryazan and Kaluga regions.
