Yandex warns of service disruption after Kaluga data centre attack

Yandex said some services could experience disruptions after a drone attack damaged its data centre in Kaluga on October 9. The company reported no injuries at the site.
Several data centre modules were completely put out of service, Yandex’s press office told RIA Novosti. Emergency services and company specialists were working at the facility while the full extent of the damage was being assessed.
Separately, Kaluga region governor Vyacheslav Shapsha reported nine injuries following an attack on regional infrastructure. Five people were hospitalised. Those figures concern the wider region, while Yandex said nobody had been hurt at its own facility.
The company linked the risk of disruptions to the damaged infrastructure. Its statement did not identify the services potentially affected or give a date for restoring the disabled modules.
