Yandex warns of Alisa AI disruption after data-center attacks

Yandex warned on October 9 that some Alisa AI functions were temporarily unavailable and responses could be delayed. Disruption affected chat, smart speakers and some connected-home devices.
The Alisa team said Station speakers might pause before answering or experience interruptions to some functions. Certain smart-home devices could also operate inconsistently while engineers worked on recovery.
Yandex said its Sasovo data center in Ryazan Region was seriously damaged by a drone attack overnight on October 7–8 and had stopped operating. An attack on its Kaluga facility on October 9 disabled part of its infrastructure.
The company reported no staff injuries at either site and gave no date for full equipment recovery. Its warning concerned possible interruptions during restoration rather than the loss of every Alisa AI function.
