Infrastructure at Yandex’s data center in Kaluga was damaged in a drone attack, the company said. Several modules were completely put out of operation, potentially disrupting some services. No one was injured at the site, and Yandex specialists and emergency services are assessing the damage.
Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha said 26 drones were shot down over the region overnight. He separately reported that 9 people were injured in the region and 5 were hospitalized. The company did not link the regional casualty figures to the data center incident.
RBC and Kommersant also reported damage to the facility and possible service disruptions. Yandex is assessing the consequences of the incident.
