Zelensky says preparing postwar elections would take half a year
Volodymyr Zelensky told NBC News that Ukraine would need half a year after the war ends to prepare for a presidential election.
He said preparations concerned security measures as well as legislation. Separately, he repeated a proposal for a ceasefire lasting at least 60 days if voting were to take place before the war ends.
Zelensky also said he would stand if an election were held during the war, describing continued defence of the country as his responsibility.
