Alexander Zverev defeated Alexander Bublik 7-6 (8-6), 4-6, 7-6 (7-1) in the fourth round of the Shanghai Masters. Their match lasted two hours and 41 minutes.
The German won both sets that reached a tie-break. Kazakhstan's Bublik took the second set, but managed only one point in the deciding tie-break.
Zverev served 14 aces and committed one double fault, converting one of six break points. Bublik hit 20 aces, made eight double faults and took two of his three opportunities to break serve.
