India and West Indies face third T20I in Indore

India and West Indies meet in the third T20 international at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, October 11, with India’s bowling under scrutiny ahead of the game.
India coach Gautam Gambhir criticised conditions for bowlers after the second match in Ranchi, where West Indies successfully chased a target of 250. The Times of India reported that evening dew made batting easier and complicated the bowlers’ grip on the ball.
The newspaper expects comparable conditions in Indore, a venue associated with high scoring and shorter boundaries than Lucknow and Ranchi. That remains a pre-match forecast, rather than a result. BCCI and ICC confirm the fixture’s date and venue.
Sanju Samson scored 82 from 41 balls in the second game. Tilak Varma finished the Ranchi match unbeaten on 44 from 18 deliveries.
The five-match series gives the coaching staff opportunities to assess players ahead of subsequent international tournaments. It is followed by a New Zealand tour beginning on October 22. Discussion of competition for places does not amount to a confirmed selection decision.
