Moscow region forecast to see frost down to minus 3 overnight into Tuesday

The Moscow region could see frost down to minus 3 degrees Celsius overnight into October 20, while temperatures in Moscow itself are expected to approach zero, Phobos forecaster Yevgeny Tishkovets said.

He attributed the cooling to the increasing influence of a Scandinavian high-pressure system as it shifts towards middle latitudes.

According to the forecast, an area of overnight temperatures from zero to minus 5 degrees will stretch from the Gulf of Finland to Western Siberia. From north to south, it will extend from southern Pomorye and Komi to the Middle Volga and the southern Urals.
