The average pension for non-working retirees is 43,986 rubles in Chukotka and 19,256 rubles in Dagestan, a difference of 24,730 rubles, according to Russia's Social Fund.
The nationwide average for non-working retirees is 25,849 rubles. Chukotka's figure is about 18,100 rubles above the national average, while Dagestan's is roughly 6,600 rubles below it. The gap between the regional extremes is nearly 1,000 rubles greater than the nationwide average pension.
The figures show average payments for non-working retirees in each region. They do not mean every resident of Chukotka or Dagestan receives exactly the stated amount. RIA Novosti said it reviewed data from Russia's Social Fund. The agency's report also gave the national average.
