Bank of Russia lowers official dollar, euro and yuan rates for October 14

The dollar is set at 83.8675 rubles, the euro at 93.7723 rubles and the yuan at 12.5028 rubles.
The October 13 rates were 83.9153 rubles for the dollar, 94.0355 for the euro and 12.5360 for the yuan. The reductions were 4.78, 26.32 and 3.32 kopecks respectively. The central bank published the new values to take effect on October 14.
Official rates differ from quotations for individual market instruments. RBC reported next-day-settlement yuan trading at 12.5015 rubles at 5:25 p.m. on October 13, down 0.09% from Monday’s close. USDRUB_TOM stood at 84.19 rubles at 4:52 p.m., down 0.2%. These are intraday observations rather than closing prices.
RBC notes that USDRUB_TOM settles the following day in rubles. Following the suspension of exchange-based dollar trading in June 2024, transactions in this instrument resumed in February 2026.
Analysts interviewed by the publication cited oil export revenue, the pause in interest-rate changes and expectations following the Russian-US diesel agreement as support for the ruble. PSB analyst Denis Popov said speculative sentiment remained an important driver. These explanations and forecasts are expert assessments rather than an exchange-rate path established by the central bank.
