Five more Russian gymnasts receive visas for Rotterdam worlds

Five more Russian gymnasts have received Dutch visas for the world championships. The Russian Gymnastics Federation said entry documents had now been issued to 47 of the delegation's 61 members.
Ilya Zaika, Saveliy Syedin, Lyudmila Roshchina, Milana Kayumova and Elizaveta Us received the latest visas. The championships will take place in Rotterdam from October 17 to 25.
Five of the six registered male gymnasts now have visas. Zaika and Syedin are expected to join Arseniy Dukhno, Sergey Naidin and Daniel Marinov. A decision on reserve gymnast Mukhammadjon Yakubov's application was still pending when the federation issued its update.
In the women's team, three of the six registered athletes have visas: Alyona Glotova, Roshchina and reserve Kayumova. Us, who is in an additional reserve group, also received permission to enter.
The update does not reverse the refusals issued to Angelina Melnikova, Viktoria Listunova and Anna Kalmykova. Their refusal notices cited the assessment of one or more Schengen states that the athletes posed a threat to their international relations.
