Belgorod governor reports 130 attacks and six injured over past day

Belgorod Governor Alexander Shuvaev said on Oct. 12 that Ukrainian forces had attacked the Russian region 130 times over the preceding day. Six people were injured, including two teenagers, according to his account.

Shuvaev said attacks affected 11 districts. His report recorded four artillery bombardments and eight instances of explosive devices being dropped from drones. Russian air defense and other units shot down or suppressed 92 unmanned aircraft, he said.

Interfax reported that the injured included teenagers aged 15 and 13 and that two of the six injured people were hospitalized. The governor's casualty figures and assessment of the attacks are attributed to the regional authorities.

Shuvaev also reported that a man's death in Valuisky district had become known on Oct. 11. The fatal incident occurred on Oct. 10, so it should not be presented as a death from the latest reporting period.
