Bournemouth set club Premier League attendance record against Sunderland
Bournemouth’s home match against Sunderland drew 12004 spectators to the Vitality Stadium, a club Premier League record. The hosts won 2-0.
The opening of the north-west and south-east corner sections enabled the higher attendance, Sport-Express reported, citing The Independent. The sections made their debut during Bournemouth’s 3-0 Europa League victory over Austria’s Sturm Graz.
Club executive Jim Frevola welcomed the additional space and improved facilities in the match programme. He said some finishing work remained.
