Creative industries school opens with four studios in Tulsky

A creative industries school has opened at the children's arts school in Tulsky, Adygea. Regional head Murat Kumpilov and Russian Deputy Culture Minister Zhanna Alekseyeva attended the ceremony, the regional government reported on October 14.
More than 360 square metres have been allocated to four studios: Animation and 3D Graphics, Design, Photo and Video Production, and Sound Engineering and Sound Design.
Pupils first explore different creative fields and complete introductory assignments before choosing a studio for more advanced study.
The children's arts school received a grant after a competitive selection process. Regional funding also covered repairs and equipment.
Students have already presented early projects. Guided by mentors including Adygea People's Artist Meleachet Zekhova, they recorded Adyghe folk tales for the Tales of Russia's Peoples competition. Traditional themes also feature in animation and design work.
Kumpilov instructed the regional Culture Ministry to involve pupils in local projects, including the Adyghe Republican Institute for Humanities Research's work to preserve and study the Adyghe language.
