Discover ATOM brings science and tourism into forum programme

The third international tourism forum Discover ATOM will take place on October 15–17 at the ATOM Museum in Moscow. Organisers expect more than 1,500 participants, including 10 delegations from BRICS countries, according to an announcement published on October 9.
The forum's theme is Science as the Language of the Person of the Future. Its programme concerns popular science tourism, museum work and international cultural exchange. The venue is the museum at VDNH.
Organisers regard science museums and heritage sites as attractions for travellers and instruments of public diplomacy. The Atom Media announcement gives particular emphasis to cooperation among BRICS+ countries. The participant and delegation totals remain planned figures, rather than results of an event that has already occurred.
A press conference is scheduled for October 14, ahead of the forum. Participants are expected to present key programme events and the international lineup. The press centre's announcement includes accreditation arrangements for journalists. These organisational details concern a future meeting and do not mean the press conference has already taken place.
