Duma committee recommends Okladnikova for deputy prime minister

The State Duma’s oversight committee has recommended that the chamber approve Irina Okladnikova as deputy prime minister and government chief of staff.

The committee’s decision is available in the Duma’s electronic database, RIA Novosti reported. A draft resolution approving her nomination has also been submitted for lawmakers’ consideration.

A plenary debate on the nominations for government posts is scheduled for Wednesday.
