Fakel’s Sutormin to undergo surgery after arm fracture

Fakel midfielder Alexey Sutormin is to undergo surgery after fracturing his arm. The club said he was injured against Krasnodar in the Russian Cup before playing Krylia Sovetov with painkilling injections.

The 32-year-old injured his arm in the first half of the cup group-stage match, which Fakel won 2:0. The Voronezh side then beat Krylia Sovetov 2:1 in the league.

Fakel's chief doctor, Maxim Rudyakov, reported a fractured radius. Sutormin had previously sustained a displaced fracture of the same bone, but the latest break is in a different place. His arm was stabilised with a special brace.

Sutormin has played for the club since the 2026/27 season. He has made 12 appearances across competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
