Ashley Hay’s late winner earns Dundee comeback victory at Falkirk

Dundee won 2-1 away in the Scottish Premiership on October 10, with the returning Ashley Hay scoring in the first minute of stoppage time.

Jacob Murrell put the hosts ahead with a 31st-minute penalty after Callum Jones fouled Finley Barbrook.

Owen Bevan equalised seven minutes into the second half, heading in Drey Wright’s cross. Bradley Fink then found the net in the 63rd minute, but an offside decision upheld by VAR ruled out the goal.

Hay converted from close range following Ethan Hamilton’s free-kick to complete the comeback. The striker had been sidelined since early August with a ligament sprain.

Dundee goalkeeper Owen Goodman touched the ball onto the crossbar during a late goalmouth scramble, protecting the visitors’ lead.
