Kaganovskaia and Nekrasov take silver at Denis Ten Memorial

Vasilisa Kaganovskaia and Maxim Nekrasov moved from third to second in the Denis Ten Memorial ice dance competition in Almaty. The final standings were published after the free dance on October 10.
The official results show Vasilisa Kaganovskaia and Maxim Nekrasov finishing with 187.20 points. Finland's Juulia Turkkila and Matthias Versluis won with 191.32, while Americans Caroline Green and Michael Parsons took bronze with 180.37.
The order had been different after the rhythm dance on October 9. Green and Parsons led with 78.64 points, followed by Turkkila and Versluis on 74.33 and Kaganovskaia and Nekrasov on 74.28. Just 0.05 points separated second and third place.
The other Russian teams retained their positions across the two segments. Irina Khavronina and Devid Naryzhnyy finished fourth on 179.04 points, and Anna M. Shcherbakova and Egor Goncharov sixth on 169.77. Their rhythm dance scores were 73.78 and 68.04 respectively.
The provisional third place reported by RBC the previous day therefore did not become Kaganovskaia and Nekrasov's final result. The medals were decided after the free dance performances.
