Khachanov splits with Martic and will finish season with Chesnokov

Karen Khachanov has ended his partnership with coach Vedran Martic and will work with Andrei Chesnokov for the rest of the 2026 season, Sport-Express reported.

Khachanov said the split was a mutual decision to try a different approach. He described his relationship with Martic as warm.

Martic began coaching Khachanov when the player was 15. Their partnership included breaks, but Khachanov said the Croatian had guided him for about 10 years in total.

With Martic, Khachanov won the Paris Masters in 2018 and reached the ATP top 10. They split in 2020 before resuming their partnership in late 2021.
