Police report administrative case against blogger Ivan Zolo over banned symbols
Police in Donetsk drew up an administrative offence report against blogger Ivan Zolo for publicly displaying extremist symbols, RBC reported, citing the regional Interior Ministry.
The ministry said a 22-year-old Moscow resident was detained on the day of his nightclub performance. Police said counter-extremism officers had found material featuring prohibited symbols on his online page. The report was drawn up under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of Russia's administrative offences code.
The ministry did not name the detainee. Ivan Zolo, whose real name is Ivan Zolochevsky, had previously disclosed his detention and linked it to a video showing him wearing a T-shirt bought in 2022. He said he had not understood the image's meaning.
Zolochevsky said he had admitted fault and promised to delete videos featuring the symbols and dispose of the T-shirt.
