Kozlov reports virus at Salavat Yulaev as Yegor Suchkov misses game

Salavat Yulaev coach Viktor Kozlov said a virus was circulating within the team. Yegor Suchkov fell ill and missed the game against Admiral, while some other players were feeling unwell, he said.

Kozlov discussed the team’s condition after the 0:2 away defeat in Vladivostok. Asked why his players appeared to lack freshness, he pointed to illness within the squad.

The Ufa club is fifth in the KHL Eastern Conference with 19 points. Salavat Yulaev’s next game is scheduled for 21 October in Magnitogorsk against Metallurg.
