Moscow completes renewal of Volynskaya Street
Moscow has completed improvements to Volynskaya Street, resurfacing the road and pavements, moving overhead cables underground and replacing lighting, the city’s municipal services complex said.
The work addressed worn surfacing and ruts caused by heavy traffic. More than 12.3 thousand square metres of asphalt were laid on the roadway, alongside new markings and road signs.
Almost 4.7 thousand square metres of pavements were resurfaced. Kerbstones were used to separate spaces.
More than 1.7 kilometres of cable ducts were installed to move overhead wires underground. New energy-efficient lighting was fitted along the street.
Lawns were restored after the roadworks. City services said the renewed grassed area exceeded 9.1 thousand square metres.
