Kuzbass wins Russian Bandy Cup bronze with victory over SKA-Uralsky Trubnik

Kemerovo's Kuzbass beat SKA-Uralsky Trubnik 4–3 in Khabarovsk on October 10 to claim Russian Bandy Cup bronze for the fourth time.

Aleksey Nichkov gave the Sverdlovsk Oblast side the lead in the 32nd minute. After halftime, Kuzbass responded with goals from Ilya Konyaev in the 47th and 62nd minutes and Dmitry Makarov in the 51st.

Kirill Devyatykh scored Kuzbass's fourth goal in the 81st minute. Evgeny Filippov reduced SKA-Uralsky Trubnik's deficit with goals in the 85th and 86th minutes, but the team could not equalise.

Kuzbass previously won bronze in 1999, 2004 and 2008. The club has also lifted the Russian Cup five times, in 2001, 2003, 2007, 2023 and 2024.

Dynamo Moscow will face SKA-Neftyanik Khabarovsk in the final on October 11. Victory in the third-place match concluded Kuzbass's campaign in this year's competition.
