Man dies after entering tiger enclosure at Yorkshire wildlife park

A man died at the scene after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and being attacked, South Yorkshire Police confirmed in an October 10 update.
Police received the report at 1.35pm local time. Emergency services attended, but medical personnel were unable to save the man. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
The tiger was uninjured and remained inside the enclosure. Police said there was no wider risk to the public. The park was evacuated, and officers remained at the scene to investigate.
The earlier account carried by RIA Novosti described serious injuries. The subsequent official statement confirmed the fatal outcome. Police did not explain in that update why the man entered the enclosure.
