Moscow completes renovation of Gilyarovskogo Street

Moscow has finished resurfacing and landscaping Gilyarovskogo Street in the central Meshchansky district, Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said on October 14.
The work covered the street between Malaya Sukharevskaya and Rizhskaya squares. More than 30,000 square metres of asphalt concrete were replaced across the carriageway and pavements.
Crews installed energy-efficient streetlights and dedicated contrast lighting at pedestrian crossings without traffic signals. Around 3,000 square metres of lawn were laid during the final stage of the project.
Biryukov said the renovation was intended to improve access to residential areas, transport and social facilities. When choosing streets for comprehensive repairs, the city considers pavement condition, the time since previous work, traffic levels and the proximity of important facilities.
