Orenburg farmers receive 15 grants worth more than 131 million roubles
Farmers in Russia’s Orenburg region have received 15 grants totalling more than 131 million roubles, Governor Yevgeny Solntsev announced on 19 October.
The awards were distributed through Agromotivator and competitions supporting peasant farms and agricultural cooperatives.
This year’s recipients include combat veterans Konstantin Sapogin, Darkhan Nurkhanov and Vasily Plotnikov. Solntsev said participants in Russia’s military operation began receiving these grants last year.
Over the lifetime of the grant programmes, the region has allocated 3.5 billion roubles to farms and cooperatives. More than 900 farmers have received state support, according to the governor.
