Pasechnik reports two killed and 16 injured over a day

Two people were killed and 16 injured in drone attacks over a day, Leonid Pasechnik, head of the Russian-controlled Luhansk region, said on October 9. He published the figures on MAX.

Pasechnik attributed the attacks to Ukrainian forces. An expanded account says vehicles on roads and energy facilities in Luhansk and other municipalities were hit. He reported that 14 municipalities had come under attack in total.

He said some settlements experienced electricity supply disruptions and temporary rolling blackouts. According to Pasechnik, the electricity outages also affected water supplies. Emergency crews were working to restore the system.

The casualty figures belong to the regional leader's daily account. Available publications repeat his information without independently confirming the circumstances of every incident. The original brief statement does not provide a breakdown of casualties by individual attack location.
