Peskov says business air defence funding proposal is a government matter

The Kremlin has not discussed a business proposal to finance new air defence systems in detail, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. He described the issue as a matter for the Russian government.

Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, had said companies were willing to help fund air defence systems to protect industrial facilities.

Shokhin proposed an investment tax deduction as an incentive for businesses to commit funds.
