Three injured in knife attack at Warsaw college

Three people were injured in a knife attack at a post-secondary college in Warsaw on October 10. Police detained a 21-year-old student of the institution.
Police spokesperson Jakub Filipiak told Reuters that officers received the report at 12:30. One victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, while two others did not require hospital treatment.
PAP identified those injured as two 17-year-old girls and a 24-year-old woman. Polish news outlet o2 reported that a college employee disarmed the suspect before police arrived. Investigators had not established a motive.
The incident followed two other school attacks during the week. Police said they had checked about 50,000 facilities since Friday and detained 76 people. Authorities said most of those detained had made online threats. Police had not confirmed a connection between the Warsaw incident and the earlier cases.
