Putin completes two-day working programme in Turkmenistan

Vladimir Putin completed the working programme of his two-day visit to Turkmenistan on October 9. The trip included CIS and Caspian environmental summits as well as bilateral talks.
The Russian president met Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Alongside full bilateral meetings, his schedule included brief contacts with other participants in the international events.
After completing the programme, Putin boarded an aircraft operated by Russia's special presidential flight unit at Turkmenbashi International Airport. The initial report described preparations for departure and did not itself confirm his arrival back in Russia.
Turkmenistan's embassy had reported his arrival on October 8 for the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting and the Caspian Environmental Summit. The completed programme therefore covered two separate international forums and meetings with the leaders of two countries.
