Radev says Bulgaria will not join new €70 billion aid for Ukraine
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said his country could not participate in providing Ukraine with an additional €70 billion. His remarks were published on the Bulgarian government's website.
Radev said Volodymyr Zelenskyy had requested the sum at the European Council meeting that ended on Friday. He recalled an earlier European decision to provide Ukraine with a €90 billion loan backed by European guarantees.
Radev called for the conflict to end as soon as possible. He linked funding the war to pressure on European economies, social tensions and political instability.
