RIA reports three-hour ARTEMIS II flight near Kaliningrad region

An ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft spent more than three hours on a circular flight path in Poland near Russia's Kaliningrad region on October 9, RIA Novosti reported after examining flight data.

The agency said the modified Bombardier departed Mihail Kogălniceanu airbase in Romania around 08:53 Moscow time. It reached the area near Augustów at about noon and remained there until 15:23 before heading southwest.

The account describes a completed daytime segment rather than the aircraft's current location. RIA did not report entry into Russian airspace.

Leidos confirms that ARTEMIS platforms use modified Bombardier business jets for intelligence collection. Its information does not verify the specific route or purpose of Friday's flight.
