Russia reports intercepting 151 drones overnight
Russia's Defence Ministry said air defences intercepted and destroyed 151 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones between the evening of October 11 and the morning of October 12.
The ministry's report covers the period from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Moscow time. It lists interceptions over the Moscow region, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, Smolensk, Tver, Tula and Yaroslavl regions, Crimea and the Black Sea.
Smolensk governor Vasily Anokhin separately reported ten drones shot down over his region. He said residents were not injured and infrastructure was not damaged. Emergency services were working where debris had fallen.
The overall interception count comes from the Russian military's statement. Anokhin's information concerns Smolensk and does not establish the consequences across all territories listed in the overnight report.
