Russia reports one massive and seven group strikes over a week

Russia’s Defence Ministry said its forces carried out one massive strike and seven group strikes against Ukraine from October 3 to 9. The ministry listed facilities it said had been hit during that reporting period.
The update, released on October 9, named defence-industry enterprises, logistics hubs and telecommunications centres among the targets. The ministry also reported strikes on energy and transport infrastructure that it said was being used by Ukrainian armed forces.
Its list included military airfields, drone production and storage facilities, and depots holding ammunition, fuel and military equipment. It also said temporary deployment sites used by Ukrainian formations and foreign mercenaries had been hit.
The ministry separately reported that several facilities within Ukrainian ports had been put out of service. It said those facilities handled the receipt, storage and distribution of military cargo and fuel supplies for Ukraine’s armed forces.
In the same weekly update, the ministry said air defences had shot down 7389 fixed-wing drones, 17 long-range Flamingo cruise missiles, nine HIMARS rockets and 31 guided aerial bombs. Those figures relate to the ministry’s reporting period.
